After The Sprinkled Streets by ~scaramouche16:iconscaramouche16:

In a blueviolet midwinter
we meander through the muffled city
where the streets are paved with starlight
and the road gleams with the image
of the mirrored moon

"Let us go then, you and I,"
you murmur with a gentle sigh
as you take my bare hand, chilled,
and press it to your neck
and I can feel your heartbeat say my name

Despite my awkward smile
you seem to find me radiant
and I am drowned, drowned,
in your clear blue eyes
that seem to be as pieces of the sky

I love the two subtle rhymes. They don't make it a rhyming poem, so it feels loose and "meander"ing, but they tie it together just enough so it doesn't fall apart. If that makes any sense ^_^
